Feed for champions
Inspired by the Swedish equestrian duo Tor Eliasson and his horse Grand prix, our ranges of feed for horses are created for champions with the highest-quality of ingredients.
There are several factors that affect the requirements for feeding, such as: size, weight, age, activity, breed, environment, etc. The normal ration for horses consists of: forage – an essential feed, then if needed, we add also grain/concentrate and supplements according the specific health needs of the horse. In Husse we offer two ranges of complementary feed – Grand Prix and Expert – where you will find formulas that will help to keep your horse in tip-top health.
In the Grand Prix range, you will find the following formulas:
Muesli rich in fibre and fat without whole grains for horses with a sensitive digestive system. This feed is low in starch and sugar supporting healthy digestion. The addition of active yeast stimulates a healthy intestinal flora, as so does the content of GOS, MOS and FOS prebiotics, which provide favourable conditions for the development of beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
Then formula for horses requiring an extra dose of energy in the diet like competition horses and ponies, a feed containing black oats, barley and corn flakes, wheat and spelt, all of which are sources of highly digestible starch and deliver quickly available sugars for immediate energy boost.
We have also developed an innovative, quick-soaking, nutritionally balanced mash for optimal hydration and recovery after an intensive work. This product is also recommended during atrocious winters when a soaked mash will help to add water back into your horse’s diet and moreover, they have been proven to help improve overall water intake, compared to feeding a dry concentrate feed.
In the Expert range, we offer cold-pressed pellets that will complement the daily intake of hay, silage or grass. These pellets contain essential amino acids and high levels of vitamins to ensure the optimal health of your horse.
All our horse feed formulas are made without: SOY – as soy used in animal feed as protein source contains mainly GMO soy. We want our horse feed free from GMO so no soy; COLOURANTS – our horse feed is free from artificial colorants; AROMA: our horse feed is free from any artificial aroma. What you and your horse smell is pure natural.
